I know about the use of Tessa tape for interior applications but I'm looking for something better to use for under hood and chassis locations where higher heat and chemicals (oil, gas, etc.) are present.
Any options for products that I can get up here in Canada would be most appreciated.

I've found just about anything I need for stuff like you're asking about on Amazon.com.

Thanks. I saw lots of options on Amazon too but I'm hoping more to get responses based on first-hand experience as to what works well.

I used this Tesa tape.

For the wires that ran to the back of the car I wrapped them with Tesa, then encased them in plastic conduit.

I maintained the MA1 integrated radar, computer, nav, comm system on the F106 interceptor. We could not bring adhesive tape to the flightline because of melting adhesive and constant repair. We had thousands of wires and hundreds of wire bundles. All the wire bundles were bound with flat nylon cord from Western Filament slip-knot tied every three inches, then wrapped with plastic tape that had a bit of stretch and friction bound together. We tied the ends with the nylon string. As you expect, the bundles were then secured with Adel clamps.
I have not found military spec tape. Scotch 2228 moisture sealing mastic tape is sticky, bonds to itself and can not be serviced. Taeyoug tape (Amazon) from Korea works but is too thin IMO. This tape has promise, but I have not purchased it yet:
