Admittedly this was because I was bored but I thought I would ask about some of the less known (some more then others) designs that have been posted so far. I skipped most of the winners including some other cars I really like. I could only choose 10. I know all the designs aren't posted yet but that is taking a while. Consider some refining may need done on any or all of them.

You are missing an option: None of the above. I actually voted for one, so I'm not being a JA. Just pointing out that there isn't an poll entry for those who don't like any of the designs.

I have always liked the designs from team KT-1, but as with all the efforts posted above I need to see how close they fit the template to be able to determine which ones have a rescaling advantage over the other. Some designs only look cool because of giant wheels and low headroom, it's like comparing apples to oranges. There needs to be a honest baseline, it's easiest to toss out non-conforming designs in lieu of trying to redesign them for a fair comparison.
kitcarj, which of the above designs do you like best, and why?

My vote goes to the KT-1..I'll just lower the roll bar on the 818 chassis.
There are several mid engine kit cars with V-8's that are only 40 inches tall so I dont see a problem..

None of which I would ever have any hope of being able to fit in, so personally I do see it as a problem.
There are so many things about the 818 that I'm excited about. But none of it would matter if I can't fit, or I can't modify to make me fit. So of all the things to be excited about the 818, Wookie CompatibleTM means the most to me.

Mel, no offense meant, but I would pay good money to watch a video of you getting in and out of an Elise. It would be comedy gold my friend. I can only hope to have your spirit when I reach your age.

First time I've seen this design... Hard to keep track of all of them. Love it! Think it's my #1 or #2. Who's design is it, where can I find more info on it?

These all seem to have the edgy Countach / K1 Attack style. No sexy, elegant timeless lines here. Not really digging any of them, but team KTs isn't bad.

Put a full windshield on the first one and I would drive it.

kitcarj, which of the above designs do you like best, and why?
Ashley's I think would need the most work but I like the unusual front 1/4 panels
Ole's is very unusual and I like it. Kind of reminds of a much improved version of a concept car from years ago (late 80's early 90's)
Mehmet's is a little basic but kind of exciting in an Elise way.
Mossimo's I like the front and the sharp lines.
Mark's I don't know if it would fit the template but I think it would make a good track car. I like it as is. Doors would be nice:)
Dennis has a nice but cute design. A perfect entry for a different contest? Maybe if it was stretched out to fit the template it would look more like a race car and less like a ??? Gem (small car)
I like David's but it could use some more excitement. Nice lines
Dan's design is nice but I don't see a lot of people wanting to build an 818 that looks like that. Can't say why because it is a respectable design. Too short and tall???
Carlos's I really like except too many headlights and front scoop on hood is too high. Kind of Viperish?
KT's design is not very appealing to me but as I said above I think it has some modern lines that I am guessing drew people to Nouphone's design but I would much prefer this one.
The Lotus 7 looking car just missed the cut as well as the none of the above and some of my other favorites that I left off because they were more reviewed winners (Scott Bradford's, Chris Mahoney's and Marrio Morra's to name a few.) because I could only pick 10 at a time.
The Lotus 7 style car is a great update and I do like 7's but I would rather have a replica of an original then this. The front wing with the 7 look just doesn't work for me I guess.
There is something I like about all these designs (including the 7) and that is why I picked them for the survey but I could only pick 10 out of the 599 posted so far.
