View Full Version : Spintech vs Gas-N
This might be a stretch, but I'm wondering if anyone has compared the sound of the SpinTech 7000 mufflers in an under-car setup to the Gas-N sidepipes?
I know there are other variables (engine, pipe routing, tip direction etc), but I'm just curious as I haven't seen anything in all the reading I've done.

I think Henry (65 Cobra Dude) can answer that question for you.
I'm pretty sure, like 99% sure, that he's done both.

I had the FFR pipes and then the 7000
Obviously a large difference - but originally my spintech were routed out in front of the rear tire. An equally large change in noise (and huge improvement in smell) when i went behind the tire with them when compared to the 7000 in front of the rear tire.

Yes I bet that placement made a big difference. Are you running IRS?

We have the 7000 series exiting behind the rear wheels. Very happy with it.

Thanks John - I think I've seen your posts about that. I'll have to go back and look at how you did it with IRS.

Thought I'd post some photos of my setup. Amateur job by me in the shop. Ford Shorty Headers on the wrong side dumping at the front. Generic Flowmaster kit assembled with band clamps and shop made hangers.
