the guy is kinda funny to listen to but seems like a solid setup for those of you who are splitting 12v always-on and keyed-on power setups

how have you guys added a 2nd fuse panel to your builds? is a high-power relay a good model as shown in the video?

I have the Blue Sea Systems ST Blade ATO/ATC Fuse Blocks (https://amzn.to/3DnceNs)

the top 6 fuses get always-on power - that's easy, just to the battery

I'm trying to figure out how the 2nd set that are key-on power, is this where the relay comes into play? assume I tie into the ACC line on the keyswitch?

No tie it into the IGN pole on the switch that is keyed on.

OOPS that's what I meant...

so that's the orange wire - correct? (IG)

Anyone using a factory computer for their engine/trans should always have power to the keep alive memory circuit. Key off. The aftermarket computers I assume would be the same but I have never set up one of those systems so I don't know. If you don't and you have to go through an OBDII emissions test for codes you will never pass because all the emission flags will clear every time you turn the key off. You should also bypass your safety shut off for the keep alive memory circuit of you use one.

Great video - very instructive and kinda funny. I may well do this so that I can put these alternate fuse boxes under the dash to "future proof" my Coupe for stuff I may add later. I intend to keep the car and have no doubt that new gadgets will be rolling out.
