Anyone have any tips on how to wire the red indicator light on the dash? The wiring book doesn’t mention it… there is just 1 ground on the light and then a black wire. Anyone know what wires from the wiring harness to connect to this indicator light?
Also I’m having trouble getting the switches in. I’ve cut the plus sign shaped hole in the dash but can’t push the switch it because it pushes the flaps of the dash forward and it shows on the front. Any ideas?

What are you using the light for? Alternator charge? Engine MIL? Oil pressure or temp warning? If you are using the Ron Francis harness it does not have provisions for any of these functions however you can make modifications to incorporate any of them.

Using it for the hazard light indicator.

RF harness? If so it is unnecessary and redundant because both turn indicator lamps on the dash will cone on simultaneously when the hazards are on. If you still want to use it as a hazard indicator you’ll have to use diodes in both feeds otherwise it’ll back feed to the other direction whenever you use the turn signals and illuminate both sides.

As Jeff said , redundant for hazard and, I'll add one to the list of options for the red indicator light that he gave. I wired mine as a dual purpose brake warning light. It comes on if the park brake is on or the brake fluid in the reservoir is low.

I'm not sure I understand your dash cover issue, but maybe make additional cuts for 8 flaps.
