Hello all- Looking for ideas in regards to how folks mount the fog lights. Since the bolts for the hood hinge come through the back of the bucket and are not centered using them somehow probably won’t work for me. I considered bolting through the bottom of the bucket, however with the curved sides I guess would require some sort of spacer(s). So looking for ideas to mount these lights and getting them centered. Thanks!

Cincy123,
I fabricated a simple crescent shaped spacer from a block of black Delrin (easy to fabricate for me and my tools or lack of them) and then mounted my fog light with its bracket on top with screws into tapped threads in the Delrin. The Delrin block was secured to the underside of the bottom curve of the fog light cup with two screws into tapped threads in the Delrin. The black Delrin will likely stay unpainted since it should be fairly stealthy under the lamp.

Note that these fog lights are: KC HiLiTES 4" Gravity® LED G4 Universal LED Fog Light.

Did mine very similar to Bob's except I made the mounting bracket out of aluminum sheet with the ends bent 90 degrees and cut with the circular profile. Bolted in place through the light bracket to the underside of the bucket. Same LED lights too.

I just bolted mine to the top of the bucket without a curved spacer. The bolts with nylock nuts hold them in place. 3 years on the road and except for a rock cracking one no issues.

I fabricated a mounting plate from 5/16" ABS Plastic, drawing is attached. Aluminum could also be used.
The attached pics show the mounting plate for the halogen fog lights supplied by FFR.
The mounting bracket for your particular fog light will dictate the location of the mounting bolt holes.
I designed the mounting plate in a way that allowed me the ability to remove the fog lamps without having to disconnect the hinge mount from the body.
I ultimately changed out the halogen lights for LED Fog Lights. The ABS mounting plate was easy to modify for the new LED's.
So far so good, over 2500 miles with no issues.
