Got the VIN from the State Police inspection station in Haverhill. The first thing I did was call the right guy for towing it down. I called Coady's Towing in Lawrence (978-685-4138) and spoke to Frank Coady, the owner. He sent his best driver (Freddie) with the perfect truck (#7). The truck has air bags on the rear axle, so the rollback has a very shallow entry angle. I drove the car right up and Freddie tied it down with tire straps...very secure.
I went to the Haverhill inspection station and spoke to Trooper Kevin Giles. I was in and out with my VIN in less than 15 minutes. Trooper Giles is a motorhead and has a real nice 66 Impala. I had receipts (showing all taxes paid) for the kit, the motor, trans, rear end and tires. All new parts, so no old titles required. Tomorrow I'll go get plates and my rejection sticker so I can get the emissions waiver from the MAC center. If the temperature is above zero, I'm driving this beast to the Moochfest.
PS: Does anyone have the phone number for the MAC in Tewksbury?
