Hi all,
Finished up paint on my coupe and most of the assembly. No fire or drive yet. I am waiting on headers from GAS N. Going on 8 months plus now. All the electrical seems good. Except for the fog lights. I need to find the schematic for those. If anyone has one can you post it? Thank you. Once headers arrive I can hook back up the coyote power box and hopefully light it up…hopefully. Yes I know I am doing this backwards. Not all by choice. No cut and polish , headers, or windshield yet. I am ready to take a break and reclaim my garage.

You said that was a TKX transmission. Did you get the mid-shift kit or did it come with?

First I like that your car is not another blue one. Although traditional, thank you for doing something a little different. I really like the color combo, very classy.
Was this your first time painting a car? If so, although you can see the imperfections, it looks really good in the video.
For my current build, not a FF, I also chose HOK as my supplier. If the galaxy gray is a Shimirin II color, I will have to look it up in my color chip fan deck. I have a friend who is looking to paint his project a champagne color. Although HOK calls your color a gray, it does not look that way from the video and my monitor, maybe I am being deceived.

Their was no need for mid shift kit. You just take the top of the shifter plate off the tranny and flip it around and then reboot it.

It is house of color galaxy gray. Lots of metallic in it with mixed size flakes. For whatever reason it was really hard to lay the base on all the curves of this car. Made me wish I shot a solid color, but it mostly worked out. Thanks so much for the comments. It is my second car. I painted my old trans am about 20 years ago with single stage acrylic enamel. Times have changes. I really like the HOK clear. Very nice product.

Yeah DaBat like the HOK clear as well. I just hope the HOK Burgundy Red L3 that I chose looks as good on the car as does the color chip.
Sounds like you did a base coat clear coat, that would likely put it in the Shimirin II line.

Beautiful job. There's no reason to feel apologetic for that paint job. I will try to paint my Roadster as well. It will be my first time painting a car so I may have some questions for you if you don't mind?
