I'm working on a customer's car that we just took out a 4.6L 4V for a Coyote swap. For the upper radiator hose, I'm using the 2011 F150 5.0L hose which works good. Anyone have a similar solution for the lower hose? It's a Gen 1 Coyote on an MK3.1.
Thx,
Henry

Boig Cool Tube has an excellent solution for coyote lower radiator hose.

There's no similar solution for the lower radiator hose, i.e., a single rubber hose. Some folks have pieced together parts of multiple hoses. The Boig cool tube is the cleanest solution IMO.

If you go to the 8:50 mark of the video, you can see what we did on our latest Coyote Gen 3 build.

My kit came with FFR 16872 Lower Radiator Hose as part of the Coyote Installation Kit. Its a single rubber hose that goes straight from the coyote to the radiator. It still has the tag on it but its pretty faded - i'm 90% sure it has a part number of E70621 which matches this hose and at least appears to look like mine:

Thank you all for your responses. I ended up ordering the one piece rubber hose. I’ve used Boig’s many times but have time constraints for this build

I swapped out the thermostat housing with a part from Procharger (AB018A-052) that turns the outlet 90 degrees and use a stainless 60 degree pipe from Summit (VPE-13062). I cut up heater hose to fit either end. This brings the hose up above the x brace. It kind of follows the angle of the radiator then turns straight into the block. I also plumbed in the tank return line but that was just me being difficult.

Can you confirm if the Dayco E70621 hose worked? Any other parts needed to connect lower radiator to engine?

I dug through my Coyote Install Kit and found the same Dayco E70621 hose. Is this the correct routing going over the top of the X-tube or should it route underneath? As it sits, it hits the steering shaft. I think I would need to cut 1-2" off the engine side of the hose and that would pull it in just enough to clear the steering shaft. But routing underneath might also work. What say you?

I routed mine through the X brace and then under the steering rack. Basically in your picture you can see a small square of light in between your steering rack and the X brace - thats exactly where I fed mine through.
tried to take a pic but its not super clear.

Darryl I ran my hose the same way you did. I made a mount to hold it off the X-brace and it seems fine. I think I did cut a little off the engine end.177687
