In the process of connecting the 5/8" heater hoses to the heater connection on the engine. Does anyone have any pictures of their setup? Or how it was done. Is the best way to just buy a hose barb fitting that threads into the engine and then attaches to the hose?
Thanks!

Most are going to need a lot more info, like what engine? For an old school 302 I used a fitting like this (https://www.cjponyparts.com/90-degree-heater-hose-fitting-5-8-mustang-1965-1973/p/FS84776/?gclid=Cj0KCQjwxIOXBhCrARIsAL1QFCZWDulJUGXlU_RAA5x Jx1-4MHFxAgxrksvgAvx3GdulhZQju9mvjdsaAj5eEALw_wcB) in the intake (but you'll need to verify port and hose size for your setup). Then the other hose goes to the water pump. Some have pressed in fittings, some have pipe thread...varies.

427w, Vintage Air heater. Ran the heater hose from the intake manifold (straight barb fitting), to the heater valve, to the heater core, back to the water pump.
Edit: BTW, here is the link to my Vintage Air mods and blower shroud. https://thefactoryfiveforum.com/showthread.php?20883-Vintage-Air-mounting-modification

My engine has a OEM heater tube. It keeps everything nice and neat, no need for long hoses running back to the heater core.
You can also get these with the spigots removed if you did the EGR delete.

Love that set up and I'm currently doing something very similar. I really don't want heat from the engine bay 'bleeding' through the heater into the cockpit. Pictures coming soon.

I used a barbed fitting as well.

Similar setup to boat's, my engine builder used a right angle hose fitting that looks like it must be this (https://www.cjponyparts.com/scott-drake-heater-hose-fitting-silver-zinc-mustang-351-390-1969-1973/p/HHF7/?gclid=Cj0KCQjw54iXBhCXARIsADWpsG_qa3QVpUwnPpIVu_l TAgVm91P6pAZ7RSLIY5Vm5JlxX9-9NuYunrUaAqT5EALw_wcB)Scott Drake part. And I still covet boat's thermostat housing, btw.
