View Full Version : Tips before removing the body?

I feel like I've read about things to do before removing the body to avoid additional work later. Specifically something about running a sharpie along the underside of the body to mark for clearance of the firewall. Now that I'm about to remove the body, I can't find any of those tips.

Anything super critical to do with the body in place? I plan to do body fitment later on, so I'm not trying to get it perfect at this point.

Thanks!

Take a lot of pictures. I had all my panels powder coated so any drawing/numbering didn't matter but the pics really helped out.

did you happen to get a picture of the inside of the driver's footbox? all the panels seem to fit pretty well as most have commented; however, the joint between the inner footbox and the transmission tunnel vertical center piece seems WAY off. either the panel is 3/4" too long (doubtful), the bend is incorrect (also doubtful) or maybe the floorpan tab is sequenced incorrectly.

I definitely need to figure out how to insert pictures....

Dont assume that the panels have been screwed in for their future permanent locations. Some panels may need to move slightly from where they are attached by FFR, so fitment as delivered is not necessarily relevant. Sounds like you will just need to adjust the footbox panels some when you get there
