I have a hydraulic clutch and I’m trying to set up the line from my master cylinder to the clutch line fitting on the transmission. The issue has been finding the correct fittings that will go from the 3/16 brake line to the fitting on the transmission which is 4AN. I’m now thinking about using a flexible hose and a barb to connect to the brake line. Does this need to be a braided high pressure hose? Or is a standard fuel hose going to be good?

The only harder part is with a braided hose I’d need to find adapters that would thread in, but with the flexible hose it’d just use a couple of barbs to connect the clutch fitting to the brake line.

You can hook a hose to the hard line, but it needs to be a rated brake hose braided or rubber with crimped on fittings NO BARB Fittings It will not stand the pressure. You could run the line all the way from the master cylinder and eliminate the hard line. The MC connection is probably 1/8 NPT and you can get a fitting from NPT to th AN size you need. Typically -3 or maybe -4 like you state.

I used NiCop line, same as my brake lines. Had to do a small bit of adaption to get it 'hooked up' to the TKX clutch. After bleeding, no leaks. I'ts solid.

You can buy line kits to supply and bleed the hydraulic clutch system. The braided steel supply hose has female 4AN fittings on each end. I'm sure Mike Forte can set you up or tell you where. All the major speed stores have them. That's what I have. A fitting from your inverted flare brake line to 4AN is available. Female inverted flair to male AN. They are the same type as the ones you use to attach your braided steel brake hoses to.
