I have the Gen3 Coyote and Tremec TKX, with the rear shifter setup, roughtly how much space in in between the shifter at it's furthest part forward in relation to the dashboard?

this is my mockup, and have the lower dash extended - it's about 7" out from the bulkhead of the transmission tunnel

I want to be sure I'm not designing something that would have me shifting forward into the lower dash

I believe.... if you have the dash in the "usual" position, and use the rear shift set up on the Tremec, you'll be fine. I have a mid-shift set up with a standard dash, and I can mash my knuckles into the dash. Knowing that, I do my best not to. I don't think (but am not 100% certain) that the TKX and TKO 600 are that much different in shifter location.

thanks! That was my hope, I know the coyote is a shorter block than a 351 so it pulls the shifter in a little closer

fingers crossed it all fits well!!

All 3 of our cars have a similar sized screen. 2 are fine but the Honda Pilot screen is a real pain because the sun hits it and makes it hard to read. Wondering if it might be worthwhile for you to push your screen forward an inch or 2 to help keep the sun off of it.

my son and I are in the same thought process to be honest, we think it looks better 'flush' with the face of the dash, but need to think on it a bit more, agreed the sun glare could be a 'thing' for sure!

You set up looks great can you tell me more about the display source and functions also like the grab bar under the glove box where do you purchase

The display is an Alpine iLX-W650, I liked the screen setup as I use GPS quite often when driving, so I can park my phone somewhere and still see where I'm going :)
Looks to have a pretty nice 7" screen and is a shallow-mount chassis design (2-13/16" deep) - it's a very high demand unit, so prices range from $450-$700, so shop around

the grab bar, I got from Summit Racing (https://www.summitracing.com/parts/edm-275-24p?seid=srese1&gclid=Cj0KCQjwio6XBhCMARIsAC0u9aGo66k1dio3giTlg4P7 duv6tai9rprm1z4roZWuQW1h4yQ3CC3_rEgaApAHEALw_wcB) ~$65 by Eddie's Marine
here's my setup for the grab bar https://cobradreams.com/2022/07/16/setting-up-the-passenger-grab-handle/
