Hi all, I have my brake and lamp inspection tomorrow. I talked to the inspector and I’m all but certain that he’s going to look for a reverse light. I jury-rigged a makeshift back up light. Inspection is tomorrow and I can’t find anyone with the right backup connector in stock (https://lmr.com/item/LRS-8693NSM/T5-Back-Up-Light-Connector-With-Pigail-Mustang-83-04) so I’m going to fab my own. No big deal, but the posts on the back up switch don’t appear to be threaded. I was going to use a circle terminal post but since it’s not threaded I don’t have any way to secure it.
How can I secure the wiring to the posts on the backup switch (at least temporarily) to get through the inspection? Bonus points for solution I can solve with a quick stop to Napa or Ace hardware.
Thanks all!

How about using automotive bullet connectors?
Take the switch out of the transmission, solder a male piece (with the plastic part stripped off) onto each of its pins, then use the female pieces to terminate your wiring harness at the switch.

Insulated alligator clips.
Thanks Paul, I need to be able to drive a few miles to the shop. So not sure this will work?

Also, maybe wrapping the connections in a thin copper wire to help to hold on for the short trip.

How about using the inner set screw part of a Marr connector on each pin?

With the right kind of clips I think it would. But others have some good ideas too. You asked for quick and easy. That was the first thing that came to my mind.

Or use the female connector only, crush it a little with pliers then slide it onto the posts ?

Thanks everyone, really appreciate all of the feedback! In the end the bullet connector won the day, and it is a really solid solution. I bought a few sizes and one of them was a perfect fit. Here's the bullet connectors all wired up:
