Had the car on the road since ‘04. Initially bone stock. Then went to Mass-Flo and now Pro-M.

It’s been running pretty good. Past couple of seasons it started randomly throwing 2195/2197 codes. Last fall, it stumbled a bit and has been regularly throwing those codes. Otherwise runs ok, though I can smell it running rich.
Data log suggests the same. But, me trying to interpret fuel injection data is like a pig looking at a watch.
In trying to diagnose this, it came up that the cooling fan activation via the PCM has never worked (I run it off a manual switch). So, the first thing was…check grounds. I had the Neg cable and PCM ground to the back of the intake. Was told absolutely not, gotta go to the block. So, the only ground related to the block that the Neg cable can reach is one of the bell housing bolts…not good enough so I ran a bolt through the front side of one (just above clutch linkage) so the grounds contact the block. Mind you Neg cable and PCM ground both go to this spot.
NOW, I get a check engine light that comes on dimly (with what looks like a faint pulse) but no codes. Additionally, it didn’t come on until car got to about 80C. I would think if it was wiring related, it would have been almost immediate.
My question(s)
(assuming your battery is in the rear)
Where do you guys have your Neg grounds running to on the block?
Is Anyone running the Pro-M system?
Anyone familiar with 2195/2197 codes?
Thanks!
