View Full Version : Coyote Alternator Pigtail
Hello folks!
I swear I looked into the search engine first, and also the web.
Does someone have a wiring diagram to the Coyote Gen3 Alternator pigtail?
3 wires
I believe the (3) GR-RD (green red) is the one to the 12V+ hot all times
not sure about the other 2....
Thanks!

The Ford Performance control pack instructions has the pinouts on the last couple pages. Including the alternator. Curious, why are you concerned about those pinouts? That's a control circuit that the PCM uses for the alternator's regulator. Not normally anything to do with the rest of the chassis wiring. The large post is the one that matters with a large cable to the battery.
The problem is that I am not using the Ford ECU, all I want is to excite the alternator to charge and a pilot light. I could not find much in the web about it. Looks like it is electronically controlled to ramp up charge after you start the car.
Still looking for something more specific. I might have to switch to a 4G alternator if I don`t find how to use my current one.

OK. Here is the page in the Ford instructions FWIW.
Thanks! I`ll try and see what happens!
