I've got a kit due to show up next month and I'm wondering if golf clubs fit in the trunk? I don't golf yet, but I'm thinking of starting-- because I think I'm supposed to at 53. I'm actually going to pick up a set and am wondering if I need to choose a compact type golf bag or if fitting any bag in the trunk is just a pipe-dream. I think I'm looking forward to driving to the golf course more that actually playing golf, BTW.

Seriously though, you could do it with a luggage rack or they will fit in the passenger spot.

I can barely get one of these in my trunk:

... and yes, that's when it's collapsed. :p

Passenger seat is the only way. I did put just the driver and the 7 iron in the trunk while my son held his jr bag in between his legs in the passenger seat.

We've seen some really Cool Flip Front Cobras so why not a Golf Hatch Modification?
So your idea of modifying your trunk and rear body to install a side hatch to slide them in is adventurous.
Brilliant because its sort of like those old luxury cars from the 1930's that had a specific spot for a golf bag.
Please let us all know how it turns out because though I'm not a golfer, the ability to carry lumber is a plus.
Love The Ingenuity For Your Idea Because It Is Truly Genius!

I absolutely love the group on this forum! Not only did I get my answer, but I sprayed my coffee all over my computer while laughing.
Thanks everyone! And also, thanks for giving me yet one more reason to NOT take up golf. Now how about fitting my mountain bike in my trunk...

Where there is a will there is a way. First I want to EMPHASIZE, I'm in the category of "not a golfer". If you want a reason to not take up golfing, I think you have it now. If you have the urge to continue to pursue the possibility checkout these clubs -https://divnickgolf.com/telescopic/index.html

I think you asked the wrong question. Will golf clubs fit in the trunk? Yes. Will they fit if they are in a bag? No. My grandson's bag and clubs fit, but not mine. As mentioned above, that's what the passenger seat is for. Now that I think of it, the roadster would make a pretty good golf cart. Just have all the clubs in the trunk and drive down the fairway to your ball. Even though the tires are nice and wide and spread the weight around, the Greenskeeper might not be too happy...

If your knees work well and you want to keep it that way, don't start. With a FF in your garage, why do you need a distraction from driving it?
You just need to expand the garage and build another car, that will keep you plenty busy, ask me how I know?

OMG! I should just had a vision - pull the trunk lid off, mount two upright golf bag support’s from a golf cart in the trunk. It’ll look like a sporty golf cart on the highway! Mic⤵️Problem solved.

I have been able to get 4 loose clubs in the trunk when heading to the driving range. No way is a bag fitting.

Anyone fashion a was to attach a hitch on the back? Then you could attach a luggage rack and carry clubs, bikes, whatever you’d like

I don't know if this trailer would work any better than the trunk on the car. :p

Golf would put too much of a dent in buying new upgrades/parts for my Cobra!

The funny thing there, Dave, is my Cobra, technically speaking, has more towing capacity than all of our 4 cars.

There was a guy that was making a bolt-on trailer hitch about 8 years ago. I was going to do it for a track tire trailer.

I envision a new product line - FFR golf clubs (that fit) in your trunk!

Passenger seat. No problem. It’s a great way to arrive at the course.

Soft sided bag, and pulled the driver out (my game is better off without it anyway) and I regularly took my clubs with me in the trunk of my Mk3.
