Hello all, I know this has been discussed, I have done thread searches and thought I knew the answer until I seen I current thread on another forum.
I have a Gen 1 coyote with the Moroso oil pan, the manufacturer date was 2013 and I know Moroso and Forte got involved in an oil pan issue around that time where the dip stick was hitting the windage tray and bending giving false readings on oil level.
I have the replacement oil pan with the modified hole for the dip stick however I still find it slightly vague to see the definitive oil line on the dip stick. I've done it dozens of times and can see the oil level line but it looks a bit distorted with oil above the line and what looks like a bit of a scraping below the line (I hope that makes sense)
I recently bypassed my oil cooler, I kept the remote oil filter which has approx 4 feet of line out and in and also uses a larger than stock oil filter PUR PBL34631
I filled with about 9 quarts of oil all in, this put the oil level correct on the stock dip stick (as best as I can see it) checked it multiple times and again appears to be right in the middle of the correct level.
I read all different volumes for this and even read something that Moroso was recommending upwards of 10 plus quarts.
Doesn't sound right to me and would think that much would put my level in the danger of foaming zone.
I would also think that the level is more important over volume on this stock coyote.
Any input on total oil volume with similar set up would be great, I understand I have a slightly larger oil filter and I can find the difference between this one and the stock shorter coyote filter but how much oil is going in the normal coyote with Moroso pan and oil filter relocation kit.
