I ordered my kit in May 2020 and received it in August 2020. Wow how times have changed, order to delivery in 3 months. I did a complete kit with BPE 347 and TKO 600 package. I wanted old school so manual brakes and steering. I definitely learned some new things and amazed myself at what I could do. This forum has been a god send and got me through some hard times when I got stuck. Several times I really questioned why I started this and spent the money. In the end I was able to work it out, sometimes with help. I am so glad I did. Thanks to everyone that answered my novice questions and particularly Henry Renauld, who was also willing to help and did some work and safety checks and who is now a friend. He was always there when I asked. Car is pretty basic built with color choice by my wife. It is PPG’s code for Dodge Hellraisin. Eventually it will get vinyl strips. Wifey wants Champaign. Titling was a process but really not that bad. Only complaint with FLDMV is it is ASPT not replica title. Legal and titled July 7, 2022.
Cheers

Well Done Captain & I Love The Color!
Nothing wrong with letting the wifey pic the color.
It looks fabulous so tell everyone you know that she picked it out.
Heck, my car is Dodge Challenger TorRed and guess what, my wife picked it out.
Again, Well Done Captain!

Yep I tell anyone who asks about the color, 100% was the wife. I was not disappointed in her choice.

Beautiful!

Any specific reason FL didn't go with the replica title?

Stunning, just the sort of car I'd love to see in person. Sans stripes is perfect to me.

Apparently the law in FL changed in 2019. In order for it to be titled as a replica the mco must be from a manufacturer that is listed in the NTSB database as a auto manufacturer. FFR is not on it at this time.

That's what I figured. A couple months ago I asked F5 this same question (my Roadster is coming in December) and Dave Smith personally replied, saying that issue is no longer a problem and FL now recognizes them as a replica manufacturer.

Not picking nits, but if I had an option I'd rather register mine as a replica from 1965 than a kit made from parts in 2022.

We all would as well, but i will take what I can get. Maybe it will change by the time you get yours finished.

Looks beautiful. I noticed that you didn't have full bumpers on the car. My kit is arriving at the end of the year, and I am also in FL. I thought I read that Florida required full bumpers, but maybe that is incorrect? I would rather not put them on there, but at this point I have them as part of my kit because I thought I had to. Any insight there? Thanks, and enjoy your car.

Nope did not need them. TBH they really did not do a safety check. I had no bumpers, no wipers, did not check lights or anything. I know someone else that got theirs cleared and did not have side mirrors. So if you don’t want them on don’t put them on.
