Yup, we did it. Not hard but you have to prep the body before cutting the upper tabs.

Enjoy!

Thanks for the timely video, Very meticulous and thoughtful.

I'm in the process of installing my radiator in a new build using the Breeze upper and lower radiator mounts. I have a question regarding how the radiator fits. Please see the attached pictures, it looks to me like the Radiator is too long, the rod supplied for the lower mount is past the frame if set at 51 degrees. Should I not care about the 51 degrees to move the bottom to a spot where the brackets and lower bar can be used?

Any help will be appreciated.
Thank you,

The radiator should be much more upright than that. I think the issue is *which* 51 degrees you're measuring. You want it to be 51 degrees from horizontal, i.e., slightly more vertical than 45 degrees. Yours appears to be 51 degrees from vertical, which puts it more flat than 45 degrees. It should look more like this:

Edit: Also note that if you're planning to use the ReplicaParts radiator surround (http://replicaparts.com/Roadster%20aluminum%20panel%20page.htm), the radiator should be set to 58 degrees rather than the 51 degrees you'd set it to if using the FFR aluminum surround pieces.

Go back and watch the video again and note where I mention using the Factory Five Nose aluminum to set the angle of the radiator. I use the side aluminum pieces on both sides to set the angle of the radiator. When using Mike Everson's, aluminum, one piece surround I still use the Factory Five side pieces to set the angle but sometimes have to fine tune the angle. ALWAYS pre-fit the one piece aluminum panel before you powder-coat it and/or paint the car. You may have have to trim it. No sense messing up brand new powder-coat or fresh paint on the car.

The larger width of your rad case may make it more awkward to use the mounts where they would normally go. Is that aluminum case surrounding the rad, something you made to hold a rock screen, or is that the way the rad came?
I can't see how it's fitting at the top, but I suspect you could slide the bottom inward more, without the top of the rad interfering with the hood or body.

Thank you all for the help. It is greatly appreciated.

John K mentioned that I had the wrong 51 degree angle he was correct. I had to draw a triangle with a 90, 51, and 39 degree angle before I got it. It is in and looks just like the video. Thank you all.
