What molding have you used around your windshield when you glued it in? I still need to trim about 1/8” off of the top and bottom edges of my glass for it to fit the body (will be trying out different grit sandpapers and sanders to find a good way to trim it as local glass shops have no interest in touching it…) but will need a molding after that, something about 5/8-3/4” wide would probably work. Thoughts?

I have a Gen 2 Coupe and installed the windshield without molding as recommended by Tony Zullo at FFR.
I didn't need to sand the windshield or modify the body for the windshield to fit.

That’s awesome. I’ve got a gen 1 and the opening is a bit too small…

The material I used was recommended on here by several other builders: Flexline UM1913BR 19mm Windshield Trim Rubber. Available on Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00NAIKX0G/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1. The manual says the windshield can be installed with or without molding. I chose to use it because the provided windshield doesn't have a finished edge and thought it would look better with the trim. Does require room in the opening, which mine (Gen 3) had without and trimming. Turned out OK. I've seen several without trim, and that looks OK too if done neatly. One downside of the trim, which unfortunately I experienced, is it makes it much more difficult to remove and replace the windshield. A rock chose to break my windshield last summer and replaced it over the winter. The trim has to be removed in order to get the cutting wire down into the pinch seal to cut the urethane. Was a real pain.

Just finished my install last week. I used the same trim as edwardb used. I too like the older look of the trim vs no trim. came out nice. could be better but for my 1st attempt its not bad. Had to sand down the body a tiny bit, both the top and bottom from the center line out on the driver side.
