Hi. Hope everyone is enjoying the 2022 driving season. I completed my 20th anniversary MK4 in 2019 and have 6200 miles on it. It has a 351W, Liberty Gears TKO600 with upgraded syncros, McLeod Street Extreme Clutch, McLeod Bronze Pilot Bushing and Forte Hydraulic Clutch set up.
Couple of weeks into the driving season I noticed a random whining sound when I started to lift my foot off the clutch and the car started moving a bit. Only noticed this in first that I could hear. I think it pretty much went away when I was moving quicker and into 2nd. Adjusted the clutch slave push rod as it was a little tight, confirmed that clutch is fully disengaging. I also changed the transmission fluid, which was a dark brown, using the recommended GM synchromesh fluid. I bled the clutch confirmed there seems to be no air in the system, using Wilwood EXP 600 Plus fluid. I don't seem to have any issues changing gears and the noise is completely random. I took a 20 minute drive last Friday, I think I heard a very minor sound backing out but then fine for rest of the drive. Saturday took a 90 minute drive and no issues until the end of drive, where I heard the sound a couple of times. I took a couple of videos of the sound with my phone sitting right on transmission tunnel. Never heard the sound with the clutch pedal pressed to floor. Curious if anyone else has heard anything like this and what it could be?
