So I sleeping soundly in my bed last night when I hear a god awful blaring suddenly at 2 am. I run up to the garage and its the 33 hot rod blaring continuously. I pulled the fuse before my ears blew out and now today I'm wondering what caused this random horn blare as I sit at my desk. Do you think its a bad ground or the relay going out?

check the screw holding the turn signal arm in place. It might need to go in further. Put a piece tape over it. wiggle the turn signal arm and see if the horn goes off.

I'll check when I get home. I didnt know the two could be related as the horn is just a button off to the side of the steering column.

I always have to chuckle when discussing horns that go off...
Years ago, a customer called that their security system 'horn' kept going off (long story - 'security system' is the shortest description). The technician, who's primary language was not English, was sent out. The customer called hours later complaining that the horn was now on constantly. Talking to the technician, he understood that the horn 'going off' was a problem so he fixed it to stay on. :D

Sorry tony I thought it was in the center of the steering wheel.
Disregard.

I got home and pulled the relay for the horn tonight. It was soaked in hydraulic fluid. Apparently I stupidly put the hardline to flex line coupling right above i for the hydraulic clutch. Pulled down the fuse panel and got to the coupling and snugged it tighter. All seems good now.
