Would a 95 donor work for the coupe ? Got a line on one cheap, 5 speed.

My opinion anything can be made to work :)
I'm using an 02

Sure why not? With the rear end being slightly wider than the foxbody it will fill out the wheelwell nicely.

Yes. No real issues except maybe the rear axles are a little
longer on the SN95 lots of benifits though. Better spindles,
better brakes, better pedal box.

The axel width is actualy A plus but the transmision / bell housing is one inch longer so you will have A driveshaft issue and I dont believe anyone makes A steel bell housing you would just have to change the input shaft.

That is the setup I have in myCoupe. It is great. The intake manifold if you are going with EFI, it is the best for hood clearance.

Here is a write up.

so the only issue is the drive shaft? This app;ys to 94's as well? I'm not really a mustang guy and am just starting to learn about these things. It would be nice if I can widen my search parameters for the donor. I still havnt found the right car at the right price that I wont feel bad about tearing apart.

Yep for 94/95 they made the input shaft one inch longer so the bellhousing is one inch deeper so I guess that would move the shifter back one inch also. you can replace the input shaft with the older shorter one and use the coresponding bellhousing and be back in sync.

I heard that with the longer input shaft the angles on the drive shaft (that is now shorter) would not work. So you do need to alter that I guess.

Thanks Chaz, are you saying now I just have to change the input shift on the driveshaft ?

I heard that with the longer input shaft the angles on the drive shaft (that is now shorter) would not work.

A Coupe driveshaft is 1.5" longer than the shaft for a roadster with the same drivetrain, therefore even with the longer SN95 transmission package the Coupe driveshaft will still be longer than a Fox setup in a roadster so driveline angle and bind is not an issue. You might have to get a little creative with the transmission mount pad on the crossmember due to it being farther rearward (I think it's more like 3/4" rather than a full inch).

Bil the front shaft on the transmission + you will need the shallower bell housing from A 93 or earler or like A quicktime steel bellhousing

Well the donor had 131k on it, not to bad. There is a tapping under the pax side valve cover, possibly loose valve ? Asking 1600 which I think is to much, it was in an accident, but drivable. I may offer 1300, what say thee ?

I've been on craigslist in my area for a few months, depending on the accident damage that sounds reasonable. I am leaning towards a 95 as they seem very plentiful and if a couple of parts will solve the fitting issues I'm all about it. I dont want to have to do a lot of modifications other than bolt on stuff.
