So you made your choice Bill? This one is a thing of beauty. Not sure how you made the decision as both are beauties.

SWMBO and I spent hours every day last week driving both cars, back to back, day, night, hot weather (there was no cold weather last week), every day. Then we sat down and both wrote up a list of wants and needs, then combined those two lists in to one. Then went for a few more rides in each....Then discussed them both some more. The only reason the 289 roadster went up on the market is because it did not have a rollbar of any kind, great car, top quality, handles fantastic, even with the 205/70/15 series tires all the way around.......If we had the physical space to keep it, believe me, we would have.

Thanks for asking

What car did you end up keeping Bill? With your taste/knowledge of cars it must be a good one.

The ERA 289 FIA we also owned, the 289 roadster was sold strictly for the indoor floor space (low ceiling, no lift) for when our 70 GT 350 Shelby convertible comes back from the mechanical restoration it is currently receiving.

What a gorgeous looking slabside. Well done and hope the sale went well.

What engine/trans did you have in it?
