Acceleration rates are crazy, even with a "small" 302.

Damn that looks like a lot of fun. The engine sounded great and healthy.
I'm a bit envious of those that have tracked their cars.

No problems and no lift or need to not track out. You see the sound booth here at 58 seconds to the right:

These are cheap Walker 'reverse-flow' mufflers and I've probably used them at Laguna Seca a half-dozen times.
What amazes me is the torture that the brakes undergo. I'm not doing my best job at trail-braking this day- that is, braking into and around the corners keeping the 1G dot transcribing the forward half of the G circle- I'm coasting too much due to braking too early. But you can see that the car can do 1G+ in braking and lateral grip- more than 1G I assume due to the track banking.
Brakes are 2000 Mustang R Brembo 13" front and 1998 Thunderbird 13" rear with Hawk DTC-60 pads front and rear.
