The F5 Chassis Wiring Harness guide says there are three wires associated with the oil pressure sender. In fact the oil pressure sensor (included in the vintage GPS gauge set) does have three wires- black, red, white. The manual suggests if an oil temp sensor is not used (my case), the blue oil temp wire in the harness can be salvaged as the third wire in the oil pressure send. The instructions say after clipping the wires off the sender, black to black (of course), white goes to the colored sending unit wire.
What about the third (red) wire off the sending unit? I presume it attaches to the repurposed blue oil temp wire. What function does that red wire -now blue- serve back at the gauge? And where does it (the repurposed blue oil temp wire) land back in the dash / fuse box?
