I got a 100 Amp Hella battery disconnect with my kit. I mounted it on the back panel, in a glove box between the seats. Went to test it with the multi meter, and their is continuity whether I switch it on or off. Almost as if there is a short. Has anyone else had this issue?

I have not personally, and I'm by no means an expert (so take this comment with a grain of salt) but I do know those switches are spring loaded, did you try giving it a little "whack" against a work bench to free it up in case the element is just jammed in there funny? Only other solution I could think is that you over-loaded it once and possibly fused something together. Not sure if you run the starter motor through that switch or not.

Is it mounted in the car with wires connected? If so, is it possible the wire terminations are touching each other? Otherwise, like BrewCityCobra said, activate / whack gently it a few times.

I figured it out. I believe the plastic housing is not rigid enough. When I tightened down the mounting bolts, it distorted the casing just enough that the switch would not disengage in the off position. I backed-off the lock nuts a bit until the continuity meter would stop sounding when the switch was in the off position. I then applied some blue locktite and hand-tightened the locknuts. It appears to be working now, but I'll have to keep an eye on it after a few hours of road use.

So, lesson learned: if you're using a Hella brand disconnect, don't overtighten the mounting bolts, and double-check the functionality of the switch.
