Very interesting, I seen people talk about them on the forum but on Bring a Trailer is a carbon fiber bodied Factory Five.

First time I have ever seen pictures of one. I was skeptical but they included the documentation showing it. Figured it would be an interesting auction to watch.
What a shame:
"The five-digit odometer shows 291 miles, approximately 75 of which were added by the seller"
That's an average of < 14 miles a year.

Interesting first MK1 I've seen with IRS also.

I'm no carbon fiber expert, but I'm going to go ahead and say it...that's not carbon fiber. The trans top looks to be the only part that is, but the body is not or the price would definitely no be 30K. So, why are they describing it as a "carbon fiber-body"? Am I missing something?
You can see weave in the trunk lid. The "black" stripe looks like its just clear coated carbon. The underside of the body looks like its all coated in a liner of some kind so hard to tell otherwise. They include the sale sheet showing that option and based on old info $3k is right. https://www.ffcars.com/threads/carbon-fiber-body.300858/post-2754492

You caught me before I deleted that post. I educated myself on the carbon fiber that FFR did back in the late 90's. It's interesting because it was an expensive option and make the car kind of rare. Not that many were made with carbon fiber before they quit offering it, but it reportedly shaves something like 50 pounds weight. Now that $30,500 and low miles makes it look like a steal.

Anyone want to take a guess on final price?
$54,000?

With today's trends...probably, but I'm going to guess $48,500.

Hard to imagine having that car all those years and not driving it

IDK if I believe those miles, look at the driveshaft looks very different from the condition of the rest of the car. The miles may be since a refresh but either way 99% of these cars don't get to 25K miles from what I have seen most are advertised with far less.

Yeah, it does say "291 miles shown". By the looks of those brake and clutch pedals and the rock chips on side pie hanger and other cross members, I'm guessing it has more than that too.
