After 900 blissful miles my roadster it had its first “leak”. After a spirited drive this morning (and very hot) I checked all my fluids and found my front brake reservoir to have brake fluid on top by the vent. I have Wilwood brakes and the factory five standard reservoirs (https://www.factoryfiveparts.com/34168-brake-reservoir-components/).

My thoughts are either I have air in a line or I overfilled the reservoir and the heat made it vent out. I’m leaning towards overfilling as I have both reservoir filled pretty high.

Thoughts? How much fluid should be in the FFR reservoirs?

Are your brake lines near your headers? I believe heat can make brake fluid expand.

The lines are about 5-6 inches away.

The amount of fluid in the lines are minuscule, would not cause the reservoir to overflow. The fluid is designed to handle high heat

My money is on overfilled. air in the line will give a very spongy feel and a fading pedal.
