Could use some help verifying that I'm wiring all this correctly.

I attached pictures of the instructions for the starter and instructions that came with the relay solenoid. Here is the solenoid https://www.napaonline.com/en/p/ECHST404?impressionRank=1

I attached how I think this needs to be wired, but I'm not 100% sure so thought I better check.

Thanks as always!

Wiring looks OK and the separate external starter relay doesn't hurt anything. As long as you have the now very common starter with an integral relay, it's not required and many/most don't use one. I don't have one on any of my builds FWIW.

That will work. The third pic comes from a Ford technical bulletin. At that time many Mustangs had been built using the starter w/o a built-in solenoid and the firewall solenoid was needed to operate the starter. But then, as starters w/ built-in solenoid became the norm, this bulletin provided the correct way to do the re-wire when installing a new style starter. Basically the solenoid becomes an oversized starter relay.

The starter is grounded through the mounting bolts. Per your drawing, I do not think you will need the chassis ground to a terminal. Just the large gauge from battery and the small gauge switch leg from solenoid.
