I am hooked on this Forum! Darn it. Can't stop thinking about what thread to read next...this is unhealthy.
Been in love with the Cobra for some time. Finally appears that the time and money will be available to put one together.
Live in suburb of Nashville (Brentwood/Franklin) and plan on a Roadster build with my son (13). Will be attending school together in Sept and hope to get after it after that.
No concerns wrenching, but have an allergy to all things electrical. I get the heebie-jeebies when I get to the build thread sections where you guys start running looms, hooking up dashes, and setting up EFI's...but this community seems to always come through for the challenged like me.
Looking forward to being part of the community.

Like you I don't care for electrical. I don't like the unorganized look of wiring harnesses. However, The Ron Fransis harness that comes with the kit is marvelous. Most of the ends are plug and play and every wire says where it goes on the last two inches of the wire. I put it all in, plugged everything in and it all worked first time. That impressed me.

One post and you already dropped my systolic blood pressure about 10 points:)
BTW, your car sure is purdy.

Welcome Jose!
I'm not far from you, in Huntsville Alabama.... Building a Gen3 Coupe-R. It's not quite the Roadster you're looking for, but feel free to come check it out sometime if you're interested. Oddly enough I'll soon be starting the second round of wiring on my car. The first round was to get it running and driving (which it is) and I've been trailering it to autocross events for over a year now, though it's still not registered. It's all fun, can't wait to get it on the street and drive it to work. Lol
Not clear if you have your order in or not, but if not, you should place it soon as there's a bit of a wait.

I agree the Ron Francis harness is of great quality and it make it easy to install. I am not quite allergic to electrical but it is not my favorite. I like things to be neat and tidy and wire looms and mods can make this a challenge. Patience, standoffs, zips ties and tie clips (for behind the dash), molex connectors and weather pak connectors and crimpers make it an easier task.

Yep not a fan of electrical myself. But the harness really did make it pretty painless.
But there is one area you are going to really hate this forum though. It will spend your money like never before. I intended to keep the build basic and try to stick to what F5 provides. After reading this forum and talking with some of the people on here. My basic no includes, modified center console to be removable and cup holders installed, breeze radiator mount, breeze battery box, exhaust shims, boig cool tubes and the list goes from there. So be warned this forum will spend your money worse than your wife and kids. :D
and you'll love every minute of it.

Nice thing about wiring these cars is that it's safe. Try messing around with 480V 3 phase or higher and it gets serious fast.

Def gonna take you up on the visit.
I have not ordered as my head is still not straight on all the options and which route to take. I am trying to research each one before pulling the trigger. I guess I should ask what the lead time is currently...
Looking forward to meeting you,

If you really want to get into trouble with add on's, go to the London Cobra Show this weekend outside of Columbus, OH. THAT will be sensory overload. Wallet overload as well.

You should put your order in now for the kit as FFR will allow you to make adds/deducts on options until they start to build your car which is months away.

Thanks for the heads up. I called today and they responded that they are about 9 months backed up. I will research for the next few days and order next week.

You might want to reach out to 520 speedworks. They did all my wiring and when I got it back it was ALL plug and play.
