I purchased a complete rear end out of a 2019 Mustang GT. I got everything including the 13” rotors and single piston brake calipers. I’m confused buy the instructions that show a 13” rotor with calipers from a 2015 model year Mustang mounted on a bracket. My 2019 calipers mount directly to the spindle. Do I need to order 2015 calipers and the caliper brackets? I don’t have my rear springs so I can’t tell if the calipers will interfere with the coil overs.

Also, what e brake cables do I need? 2015 Mustang GT?

I noticed my shocks are on upside down. I’ll swap them once the springs arrived.

Thanks,
Jim

The bracket is only used if you get the optional FFR rear Mustang brakes. I have the same brakes as you and they mount directly to the spindle. I was confused by this as well and reached out to FFR who told me their brakes needed the bracket but the Ford brakes bolt right on.

That’s good news, thanks! What e brake cables do I need? My kit did not include them or I misplaced them.

I did a retrofit of the 2015 IRS into my old MkII. The ends on the cables that I had been using were different than the 17 calipers. There was an adapter piece that would make the connection but...the space between where the cable outer sleeve fits and the arm was reduced by the adapter and I was not confident that the cable would be able to pull the lever far enough. So I spliced the old cable to the new cable in the area near the park brake lever where you have maybe 10-12 inches of bare cable w/o the outer sleeve. I was a little nervous about them holding but I used three of the common cable clamps on each splice and they never moved. This style but I got them at Lowes or HD.

I have the same rear brake set up. I ordered this one for a cable https://www.amazon.com/dp/B002G39K0A?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details
I added an eyebolt from McMasterCarr
I've designed a bracket but have not gotten it built as yet, I'll add a picture it when I get there168337168338
