Huge difference. The Gen 2 is basically a stretched and modified Roadster (not that there's anything wrong with that...) with a Coupe body. Has the usual 4" tube chassis. The Gen 3 is a complete re-design with a space frame chassis. Computer designed and advertised as 16 times stiffer. Or something like that. Results in more room everywhere. More room in the engine compartment (Coyote fits relatively easily compared to before), transmission tunnel (T-56 fits easily), but most importantly provides a lower floor in the cockpit and more room for the occupants. The doors were also re-designed to be slightly larger for easier in/out. The body has some styling cues changed as well. Same windshield. All new rear glass. The Factory Five website expands on these points plus a few more. https://www.factoryfive.com/type-65-coupe/all-new-gen-3-coupe/. We love our Gen 3!

Assume you know the Gen 3 is the only one sold by Factory Five for several years now. There are lots of Gen 1's and Gen 2's out there. Some probably not complete and maybe available if you're looking to build. But that's the only way you'll get the previous gen.
