Years ago FFR offered pin drive front suspension as an option, P/N 13242, which is narrower to allow for the adapter and different offset. Then they stopped, I'm guessing because they want you to buy their imitation pin drive wheels or maybe there just wasn't enough demand.

Since I'm going to run true pin drive wheels I was very interested when a few months ago I saw a FB video from Dave announcing they were going to offer the pin drive front suspension again. So I went to work with FFR to modify my order and quickly discovered a)Dave had apparently failed to mention to anyone he had made this decision, and b)no one seemed to know what to supply. After a lot of back and forth, like a lot, just this morning I think it's sorted so I would like to share what it is and what is actually required in case anyone wants to go this route in the future.

The pin drive front suspension is narrower than the standard front suspension setup. It uses the standard upper control arms, coilover shocks, and steering rack. The lower control arms are special, P/N 12508. The setup uses 94-95 SN95 spindles in place of the FFR ones. FFR offer the spindles and hubs under P/N 14507 but you're better off and it's cheaper to source these yourself. With the SN95 spindles you also need 12507 spindle adapter brackets.

If you order 13242 Pin Drive Front Suspension you get the 12508 Lower Control Arm assemblies and a set of 12507 Spindle Adapter Brackets, all for $499. As I mentioned, with these parts you just add your own 94-95 SN95 spindles (I found a very nice set on eBay) and standard hubs available new from Summit for the narrower front suspension.
