Yesterday morning (my parents) kids grandparents so we all started calling them grandma/pa were over yesterday morning for breakfast. I always joke with grandma (who is 80 years old) asking her when she's going to go for a ride with me. She always laughs and says some version of "hell no!". Well, yesterday my wife told me to stop teasing her so I didn't even bring it up, but after breakfast she blurts out, "we going for a ride today or what?". After my double take and clarification of what she meant and my wife picking her jaw off the floor, I got the cobra out of the garage and found a sturdy step stool as I thought about how grandma was going to get in and out of a challenge car! After much hooting and oh my gods she was finally sitting in the car. Then came the 5 point harness LOL. She was loving every minute of it. We finally got on the road and her first phrase was "This is so liberating! I love it!". I took her on a casual ride around town (Southern New Hampshire), past many farm houses, barns, and some wooden covered bridges. About 2 hours in total. Once back home she assured my wife that she would be doing that MANY more times.
Now to figure a better way to help her out of the car lol. That was the biggest challenge (pardon the pun).
