View Full Version : Not spending $250 on odyssey PC925 battery again!
so, long story short I've been through (2) odyssey PC925 batteries in the stock battery location. We'll, I saw the prices for the new ones and they seemed to jump up pretty high this year (like everything else) AND those odysseys dont seem to last too long.
I'm going to put a 24F AGM interstate in there. Has anybody use one of these to bolt to the chassis. I'm not looking to take up so much room in the trunk even though I see lots of guys doing that.

I like the idea of a dual terminal battery, use the top posts for the starter, then the side posts with studs for all accessory hookups.
A group 34/78 like this is no bigger or heavier than the 24F you are looking at, https://www.napaonline.com/en/p/BAT983478?cid=paidsearch_shopping_dcoe_google&store=31703&campaign=GSC-Batteries&campaign_id=6478913224&adgroup_id=77736595836&adtype=pla&gclid=Cj0KCQjw-JyUBhCuARIsANUqQ_J8fP2QoGeHkrUJfuwk4klbzumdSkfhkwl AdNLKzB9C75neBj6MlncaAsKoEALw_wcB&gclsrc=aw.ds&
How's this look. Fits nicely actually with plenty f clearance. But is it a bad idea to bolt to

Can't tell from those pics how you are mounting it.

I have two Odyssey 925C batteries. One is 7 years old and the other is over 5. I am curious how old your batteries were before you replaced them. I can say that the lead acid batteries on the market now days are not good. I have helped so many neighbors replace their lead acid batteries after 3 years. I remember when they used to last 5+. I switched to the AGM batteries in my toy cars and never looked back.

I installed a similar battery tray (AFCO 50303 Battery Box) in my Type 65 Coupe. The tray is mounted in front between the engine and cross brace. I used steel pop rivets to secure the battery tray to the frame and cross brace.
The tray is robust and well built. For me it has worked as expected.
