Hello forum members. My name is Albert. I'm a diesel tech and I live in Aberdeen, WA. I just ordered my complete 65 coupe kit yesterday (5/12/2022). I've been following Factory Five Racing since about 2001 when I saw their little add in the back of a Car and Driver magazine. I was hooked after receiving their DVD info packet in the mail a couple weeks later. In 2004 I bought a 1988 5.0 Mustang to use as a donor. Then life happened, LOL. The next 18 years were filled with many ups and downs. From supporting my family, family medical issues, financial issues, buying a house, several cars, different jobs, and many other things. But, through it all, I held on to my 88 Mustang. I drove it and modified it regularly (and I still do). All the time thinking about the day I could finally order my FFR 65 coupe kit. In the last 8 years I've built 3 foxbody Mustangs from the ground up and worked on several others for my friends. I even built a 1991 5.0 foxbody Mustang for my son. It's his daily driver, and he loves it. Words cannot describe how excited I am about finally ordering my 65 coupe complete kit. I know this is going to be an epic journey and I'm sure I'll have some questions. I've become attached to my 88 Mustang so I won't be using it for a donor. I'll be building my own 351w and buying the other parts that are needed to finish the kit. Thanks for reading my short story, LOL.
