I've never heard of a Wuko Metal Bender but was impressed with their demo video:

This looks like it could save a lot of hard work and make some pretty parts.

Best wishes,

This is the type of tool metal roofers who install standing seam metal roof panels use to create various raised edges on panels. Not sure if it would handle the heavier gauge aluminum that we normally work with. I use an inexpensive small sheetmetal brake that I purchased years ago at Tool Warehouse.

First, I am not a shill for Harbor Freight, but I have had good luck with:

30" 3 in 1 Shear, Press Brake and Slip Roll, Item 5907. I have used this tool to make boxes, brackets, heat shield w/ rolled edges, fan shroud, etc.

30" Bending Brake, Item 67240. For me, this brake was inexpensive, but tedious to set up and use. Using scrap parts (valve springs, steel angle and steel strap) from my shop, I modified it to be user friendly. A digital angle gauge makes quick work for bending various angles.

Obviously, these tools are not intended for commercial use, but they worked great for everything I fabricated for my Daytona Coupe.

Ron-

Your shop looks a little too neat and organized to me! ;-o)

Thanks for the feedback on the HF tools, I appreciate it. I have had my eye on that 3 in 1 tool for a while.

We need some more pics of your Daytona -- she looks great!!

Regards,

Steve

The Wuko website calls for maximum of .032 aluminum that it can bend.
The bend/lip varies by the P/N from .2 to several inches

Hello,

I tend to keep a neat shop, I work better that way. At my age, 74, I need to keep things in their place, or I forget where they are.

Follow the link to my Album for more pics of the Coupe.

Note, I installed a tilt steering column, required a complete redesign of the dashboard

Ron
