Hey guys my name is Jeff and I’m a retired cop from Houston. I’ve been a car guy for over 30 years. I’m a Mopar guy (don’t hold that against me) and I’ve built/rebuilt a few cars over the years. I’ve redone a ‘73 Challenger, ‘70 Cuda, ‘70 Roadrunner and a ‘77 Corvette but this Speedstar will be my first bumper to bumper kit. This FFR build isn’t for me though. My wife and I run a small charity for homeless veterans and we decided the charity would buy one of Dave’s FFR kits so I can (as she puts it) use my talents and passion for a worthy cause. I think she just wants me out of the house and in the shop for 6 months. We are going to build it and either raffle it off or possibly reach out to Mecum or Barrett-Jackson and put it up for auction. We have a couple talented veterans that are gonna help me with the build then we’re going to use it to generate money and awareness for our 501(c)(3) charity. We are gonna promote it as a “Built by Veterans, for Veterans” hot rod project. I ordered the Speedstar a few weeks ago and we have an 11/22 delivery schedule. We will be working on this car full-time as soon as it arrives so I’m hoping we can knock it out in a timely manner. I’m excited to start but even with my “limited” experience, I’m certain we’re gonna need some advice and guidance from you guys. Thanks in advance.

Hit me up if you wanna know about the charity or if ya have any spare parts laying around you don’t need. xoinitiative.org

Welcome and well done. Hope it all works out well for you. FYI, I transported a very special "Speedstar" the other day.
