Confused as to if I got the wrong sensor, or maybe I'm mixed up on a picture, or maybe this is just a square peg in a round hole.
I've seen folks (ok well really just @toadster) use the Russ Thompson bracket with an extra hole to mount up the BRAB-290 front wheel sensor. When I tried the same thing there was no way if I wanted to keep things nice and square. See pics. If I want the plane of the sensor tangent to the tone ring it wants the hole in a cooky location. Am I missing something? Regardless I think I'll be machining some little odds and ends here soon, but worried that I'm way off.

Here’s my setup https://cobradreams.com/2020/10/14/re-aligning-the-front-abs-sensors/
I wish I would have taken the modified parts to Russ for an updated design
drilling a new mounting hole got the sensor aligned perfectly

Yeah I stared at that for a while, but for me if I get the sensor nice and square I'm totally missing the machined part. Any chance you can take a couple more photos? Not sure what the discrepancy is???

It doesnt matter how the sensor is clocked. If it bolts in there and has the needed clearance to the teeth youre good to go. Pretty sure mine is clocked pretty similar to where the RT bracket would have you and it works
Errr nevermind I thought you would be using the factory fox and sn95 mustang sensor, looks like youre using something different

So digging a little deeper it looks like the original John George post used BRAB-291, while toadster listed BRAB-290.
Hooper which is the original sn95 mustang sensor?

Looks like the internet is saying the original would be a brab34. The brab 34 at the link below looks the same as what I have. On this one the little cylindrical magnet "post" sticking out the end sits above the reluctor wheel which explains why orientation didnt matter on it.

Ah that's a big help, I'll see if that's compatible with my application. Thanks Hooper!

Its a VR sensor, kind of looks like the BRAB290 sensors are also VR which usually would mean they are compatible since they dont rely on a specific voltage to trigger and would both be sine wave, but of course whatever youre using to read the sensors might be looking for a different voltage. If I remember correctly mine generate something like just under 200mV at the peak.
