Hi all, hope everyone is doing great.

I have a quick question. I have four grommets that I *think* go to the rear quickjacks. Partly what makes me think this is the rear sleeves fit nicely through the grommet IDs. To make these work, I would need to open the holes a bit. But I’ve been trying to fit the all thread rod through the holes and I noticed some tension on the fiberglass. So I think opening the holes and using the grommets would be helpful anyway.

I’m hoping to get thoughts from this group before I start removing glass. Thanks in advance!

Front grommets. Yes. Makes the opening look more finished. Rear grommets. No. You want the rear body captured by the quick jack bolts. Leave the holes in the body the size of the bolts. I use metal washers each side plus neoprene washers on each side for a little bit of cushion plus protect the paint.

Roger that, thanks Paul. I was wondering how functional they are in terms of holding the body down given the tight fit.

Yup. Basically, a nut on the inside, metal washer, and neoprene washer/grommet. Same on the outside of the body. Neoprene washer, metal washer, spacer, washer and nut, with quick-jack on the end.

Don't tighten the nuts too much and crush the neoprene washers. Just nice and snug.

I actually used rear grommets but I’m in the minority
