I know this has been discussed a million times, but I just need a link to a thread with a great way to set up the e-brake. Does anyone have a detailed build thread of this? One with part numbers etc would be great.

Thanks in advance!

Ted

I used Paul's 20th Anniversary thread as a guild. The Lokar clevis (Lokar S-8078) referenced in his thread is difficult to find. I ended up getting it right from Lokar, but I either had to email them or call them because that part number was not available on it's own on their website.

Most likely due to the cable routing I did, I ended up with enough slack to require a full pull on the handle -almost to the last ratchet detent- to effectively bind the calipers. We 'engineered' a cable tensioner solution that did the trick nicely. Now the handle firms up at the forth detent.

I have a few photos in my build thread regarding the ebrake setup (not perfect but its a start for a Wilwood setup - starts on post 38). I actually thought I had more but apparently I didn't include them all.

That said, I purchased Wilwood 330-9371 Parking Brake Cable Kit. That gives you everything you need (cable, brackets, etc.) to go from the Wilwood Ebrake calipers to the bracket. Add in the pulleys from McMaster and you are all set.

I know it seem lame, but I installed mine as FFR describes using the provided parts and the e-brake works fine.

I like that set up BrewCity. Thank you for the info and part number.

BrewCityCobra,

Wow, that worked like a charm... bending the brackets is the key. I also swapped out the rear mounting bolt with a panhead bolt with the bolt on top; this gave me a little more clearance for the cables and clevis. Also, I only had to trim a very small amount on my side panel. Now just waiting on the Wilwood 330-9371 Parking Brake Cable Kit from Amazon to complete the e-brake.

Thank you for your help, I'll post pictures on my build soon.

Excellent! If you don't mind, can you take a picture of that panhead bolt layout you used when you have it all set up? I'd be curious to see how that works.
