According to the FF5 video, the 17" rear Halibrand rims FF5 provides have a 6" inside offset.
Would a rim with a 6 5/8 inside offset work?

TIA

Anything deeper is going to get closer to the shocks and other parts of the suspension. Here is a picture of the rear 17" Halibrand from FFR on my build with the Moser 8.8 rear.

If i'm not mistaken FFR fronts are 6" and the rears (10-1/2" width) are 6.7". More backspace moves the wheels in, so in the rear you have to consider clearances for the shocks and the brake calipers. Larger brakes could be a problem.

Yea, have the Wilwood brakes, can someone confirm the FF5 rear wheel is 6.7 on the inside offset, as Indy Shu mentioned? The FF5 video say both front and rear are 6". If they are 6.7, then I'm ok, since 6 5/8 is 6.625.
Other option is to go 17x11 and I can specify the inside offset to be 6. But don't want that extra 1/2 inch to hang out of the wheel well. Maybe I should have just stayed with FF5 wheel lol

John is correct, from their website:

Front Wheel Size (Diameter x width): 17"x 9"
Rear Wheel Size (Diameter x width): 17"x 10.5"
Front Wheel Backspace: 6.00" (24mm Offset)
Rear Wheel Backspace: 6.7" (27mm

I just installed LMR's FR500's and have no clearance issues.

Wheel Specs
Size: 17x9
Backspacing: 5.85"
Offset: +24mm
Lug Pattern: 5x114.3
Weight: 20lbs

Size: 17x10.5
Backspacing: 6.84"
Offset: +27mm
Lug Pattern: 5x114.3
Weight: 24lbs

@Indy Shu is correct. Here is what FFR shows for the 17" Halibrands:

Front Wheel Backspace: 6.00" (24mm Offset)
Rear Wheel Backspace: 6.7" (27mm Offset)

So, 6-5/8 (6.625") should work.

They sell both 17x9 on all 4, and they sell a staggered 17x9 + 17x10.5... so the video is technically correct.

@Indy Shu is correct. Here is what FFR shows for the 17" Halibrands:

Front Wheel Backspace: 6.00" (24mm Offset)
Rear Wheel Backspace: 6.7" (27mm Offset)

So, 6-5/8 (6.625") should work.

Here are the offsets for the Factory Five 18" wheels:

Technical Specifications:
Front Wheel Size (Diameter x width): 18"x 9"
Rear Wheel Size (Diameter x width): 18"x 11"
Front Wheel Backspace: 6.00" (24mm Offset)
Rear Wheel Backspace: 6.46" (12mm Offset)
Wheel Lug Pattern: Ford style 5 lug x 4.5" bolt circle
Material: Cast Aluminum
Color: Gun Metal

I can see why the 18's look better & beefier because rear the offset is shallower while the rim is wider.
