Hello all, I have all parts mocked up, panels aligned and body work done, one light coat of polyester for pin holes and now ready for body removal for primer, block and paint.
I am using an electric hoist attached to my garage ceiling, I plan on having a few buddies on the side just to pull the body away a touch, I know the rear has to come back and up before moving forward to release the front...
I have a brace for the canter span which fits tight with the body on... I plan to leave that off for a little flex while just removing the body but planning on putting it right back in when the body is disconnected front to rear.
I plan on strapping inside all four wheel wells once the center brace is back in to lift the body in the air with the hoist. (I will also strap to the center area of the body for support)
Has anyone used an electric hoist for body removal?
I want the ability to raise the body back up and down to work on but also put the go cart back under it.
Any insight? 166187
