So my donor e-brake handle wore out. I was just leaving the car in gear, until one day I left it in third gear instead of first and it rolled away, it rolled very slowly and did not hit anything! It was then that I decided to make the e-brake work again. I tried to find a replacement and thought that I had found one, but it was just a bit different and did not fit. So I picked up a FFR assembly and put it together and got it installed, it fits well and looks good, but it will not work with my 87-93 Mustang cables. The FFR parts page does not list the brake cables for a complete kit for sale. Does anyone know where I could get a set of cables that will work with my 11.65” disc, solid axle and FFR e-brake handle?

Wilwood makes a universal trim-to-fit parking brake cable kit. I used it with my E-Stopp installation, and it's a nice, high-quality set of cables. Take a look to make sure the end fittings will work with your brakes.

That might work, thank you!

I would be really shocked if your parking brake handle wore out. They are hardened teeth. Are you sure the slack adjuster is working correctly?

Hello Michael, the groove where the cable wraps around was worn out from having a bad angle on the cable. It wouldn’t hold the cable anymore even though a RE-aligned it. The e-brake handle that you sent me a few weeks ago (for free, thank you) is just a bit bigger and does not fit. So I bought the FFR assembly. Now I need cables that will work with it.
