I am running the stock FF brake set up with the Wilwood pedal box. I know manual brakes a have a different feel but my pedal seems to travel pretty far before resistance. It wont go to the floor and I have brakes but seems like there should be more resistance in the pedal closer to the start of travel. I bench bleed the 2 masters, pedal pumped and vacuumed the calipers after they were installed. Pretty certain there is no air left in the lines.
Am I chasing a pedal feel that I am not going to get?

I went through this exact issue myself. Three items to check:

1. Don't bother with the vacuum bleeders they just don't get the air out. Get one of these eliminates so much headache.

2. Second go around the car at all the joints and verify you do not have a slight leak at any of them. Just take your finger and rub it around. Seem if you get a thin film of brake fluid. If you are you got to re-flare that joint.

3. Check your adjustment of the brake balance bar. The more you have it front brake biased the stiffer it makes the pedal. (Note only do this one when you are able to drive the car. You will be missing with this adjustment quite a bit until you got it where you want it.)

I hope this helps.

I have an extra Motive products bleeder if you need it still new in the box. PM me.

These bleeder systems can't be beat and you don't need help with the pedal when bleeding.

Yep, no better bleeder that the Motive pressure bleeder. I couldn't get a pedal until I used it.

Mine felt the same two after initial bleed (wilwoods) but when I got my new rims I decided to try it again... went through it with my wife on the pedal and man night and day. They get stiff about 1" after applying the pedal and lock up easily.

Hey guys this is a bleeder for the Tilton 3 reseviour setup. If you've got an interest PM me.

For those of you that already PM'd me I'm going to respond back to advise this is for the Tilton setup.

You can buy a connector for your application and use it with this but that would be more expensive than just buying a Tilton with your brake system reseviour setup.

I have a pressure regulator that can take my air pressure down to 5# so I cobbled together an adapter for the top of the reservoir.

A friend did similar but used a fish tank air pump for his pressure source.

With a remote reservoir system would you attached and blow through the reservoir?

yes that is correct. Also as side note if you use one try not to exceed 8 psi. 10 psi I would say is the max. There is risk of doing damage to the seals in the master cylinders if you go too high.

I got that warning with those exact #s when talking to folks at CNC Brakes.

Chalk up another fan of this type of bleeder! I ordered the Orion version, same as the Motive because it shipped next day. Within 15 minutes of filling the bottle and pumping it up, pedal was where it should be. If you have already tried to bleed your system, make sure you run lots of fluid through. initially the hose going from the bottle to the reservoir is full of air and that will get pushed through your system. No biggie, went around my 4 calipers twice to make sure there was no air left. If its the first time filling your brake lines with fluid, start at the furthest caliper away from the reservoir.
Thanks again to everyone for the suggestions!

Yea I got the warning when I first used it from someone on the facebook group can't remember who it was. So figured I should adhere to it.
