Hello guys,

I have the gen 2 waterfall. My kit is from 2018 and my car is a hybrid between gen 1 and gen 2. 😂 Right now I am in the process of attaching the waterfall to the body. The waterfall is already trimmed and ready to go. Where did you guys attach the waterfall to the body and what did you use. I am thinking rivnuts but wanted to make sure.

Also, I will be installing the supplied vinyl to the waterfall shortly. I am using the Super77 adhesive. Is this hard to do? Any pictures of yours would help me a lot. Thanks

I just used self tapping trim screws to attach mine. Drill a 1/8" hole and then let the trim screw self tap the hole. Worked great.

Regarding Supper77 Adhesive, I'm not sure it's strong enough or if it will last. There is a lot of stretching installing vinyl on the waterfall and I recovered a door panel once on a mustang convertible that saw a lot of sun and the Super77 kept letting loose and bubbling due to the direct sun on it. Upholster shop told me the sun reactivates most spray can adhesives, he suggested I use Landau (made by Weldwood), great stuff, can be brushed on or sprayed on (gets applied to both surfaces), once stuck it's never coming off so be sure your material is where you want it to start. Been using now for 10 years, I'll never use anything else again.

I used Rivnuts along the top edge to attach to the body. Also attached the lower corners (by the door opening) to secure the bottom...

You can consider not covering the waterfall and just painting it, that's what I ended up doing.

I used the rivnuts along the top/rear wall and a couple more down low near the floor in front, then covered the waterfall with carbon fiber look vinyl.

Nice! Is the top pad part of the waterfall or is it a custom piece? Thanks. Scott

Not sure about Gen1 but for Gen2 the top pad comes in the interior kit with the door panels, door handles & center pad between the seats.
