I have gen 3 coyote that is titled and registered last year and ran with no problems. I went to start it for the first time this season and nothing. It has been on a trickle charger, the lights work. The gauges sweep when I turn the key, but nothing else. Dead silence. I do notice the fuel pump is not priming either. Any suggestions?

Things can work off the battery with just the surface voltage. Have you measured the actual voltage when you turn the key on? Or better yet, maybe have the battery tested. Or try a different battery or even jump it. The battery is the first possibility IMO. Then what fuses have you checked? Then I'd be checking grounds. Maybe something corroded or degraded over the winter.

12.4 at the battery and when I turn the key to start the car still 12.4. The fuses in the panel are the kind that light up when blown. Granted I have not checked them yet. Next week I will try to to jump or get the battery checked but it makes me wonder why the fuel pump is not turning on when I turn the key.

I'd build on what edwardb says: if the gauges sweep, but the fuel pump does not prime, the pcm is not getting power - or at least it isn't getting power for an ignition request. I believe it has to be one of the ignition connections on the coyote pigtail. The ignition switch will provide power to the gauges independently of the coyote circuitry. If the ignition request is not alive, the pump won't go and the engine won't turn over. Grounds first, then check the connections on the pigtail (along with those that go to the ignition switch).

Check your fuel level. I have a gen 2 and was flummoxed early in the build when it suddenly stopped starting as you describe. Turns out there is a fuel pressure requirement for the computer to start the engine. Low fuel level caused this condition to not be met, so no start.

If the gauges sweep IGN-ON is alive...fuel pump connector ? getting a blip of 12-14v at pump when you flip key to ign on ?

Just wanted to say thank you. I got it all sorted out. The fuel pump wire from the fuse panel going to the coyote harness was loose. I had used a but connector but evidently I didn’t squeeze it tight enough and came loose. I replaced with one that you shrink rap as well. Thanks again.
