I recently finished this Gen 1 GTM. It is a 2007 Kit that went through 2 previous owners and really never made it past the roller and that I understand, go-cart state. In event, I stripped it all down, started over and updated the car with some of the Gen 2 attributes.
The Engine is a GM Crate LS3 6.2L 485hp and was bought brand new for this build.
The Porsche Transaxle is a G50 and was completely disassembled by local classic Porsche restores shop. The main shift rod was replaced as were all the synchros. All parts were ordered from Germany direct to include all new seals and gaskets.
The normal clutch that comes with the kit was upgrade to high performance / heavy duty clutch.
The car has the following features:
- AC and heat
- Double DIN stereo with front and rear cameras (rear camera is activated with reverse gear in the transmission and is also used as the rear view camera)
- Windshield wiper and sprayer
- STANCE front suspension air cups for lifting the front end to clear road transitions
- Apple Play
- Android Play
- Door poppers with no exterior handles
- vented belly pan
- custom rear engine deck
- power windows
- powered side mirrors
- AIM MXP Strada Digital Gauge
lots of other little touches
The car is sitting on Forgestar F14's 20 x 12 in the rear and 19 x 9 in the front. They are wrapped in Pirelli P ZERO's 325/25/20's and 245/35/19's
Paint is GM Admiral Blue Code 128A
